Maggie Price is a Signature Member of the Pastel Society of New Mexico, Plein Air New Mexico and APOW. She was a co-founder and the former editor of The Pastel Journal, an American national magazine for pastel artists with over 40,000 current readers and has written over 90 articles about pastel art and artists. Her workshops include demonstrations, personal assistance at artists' easels and sharing information about the pastel medium gained during years of painting in pastel, and from editing and writing for The Pastel Journal. Maggie emphasizes personal instruction in a supportive and friendly atmosphere, and believes in sharing as much information as possible with her students. While demonstrations are in pastel, artists are welcome to work in any medium during this workshop.

All classes focus on painting the landscape; beginning to advanced students are welcome. Whether you’re a beginner and want to learn the basics of painting outdoors, or whether you’re an experienced pastelist and want the opportunity to paint with a group in this beautiful location, this is the workshop for you! The friendships formed in a small group traveling and painting together can last a lifetime.
Non-painting spouses or companions are welcome and there will be plenty for them to do & see in the Genal Valley and surrounding areas whilst the artists paint.

"I can't tell you folks how much we enjoyed this trip to Spain...one of the very best we have taken. The locale was not the star of the trip, it was the people...all of you fine folks. I've never seen such a compatible bunch "tourists"...not a sour apple in the box (myself maybe excluded). David and Ivan made our stay comfortable, pampered and amazingly well-fed.
