Ever fancied learning something about a new language or develop your existing linguistic skills but have a mini-holiday at the same time? Well, 2011 is the time to do it!
Well known Gaelic singer Fiona J Mackenzie and Gaelic tutor Rhoda Meek offer you the chance to learn Scottish Gaelic Language and Gaelic Song. In this year, the course's 3rd anniversary, places are extremely limited so don't leave it too long to sign up for this unique and exciting opportunity to experience something of one of the world’s most beautiful and eloquent languages whilst having a relaxing and revitalising holiday. Song, sun, sherry, spa, tapas, lemons, a beautiful pool…what more could you desire?

* * Fiona J Mackenzie, Mod Gold Medallist, from Dingwall in the Highlands of Scotland, works developing opportunities for people to participate in Gaelic Singing activities, throughout Scotland, as well as performing and recording regularly throughout the world. She is a keen ‘Tweeter’ of daily Gaelic phrases and has many hundreds of Gaelic learners following her.

* * Rhoda Meek works for Deiseal Ltd, the company which brought the Ulpan method of learning Gaelic to Scotland, in IT Development. A former BBC TV presenter, and originally from Edinburgh, Rhoda is a native Gaelic speaker with family connections to the Isle of Tiree. She has too many pets and an unfortunate social networking addiction.

Course Subjects:
Gaelic Song;
Gaelic Language:- at a level individually tailored to each participant's own needs;
Castilian Spanish:- there will also be the opportunity to improve conversational language skills if so desired.
Course Costs & Accommodation Details:
Students (numbers will be kept deliberately low to ensure a high student/teacher ratio) will be accommodated either within the Hotel Bandolero itself or the 5 star Villa Ronda which is adjacent to the hotel; both the hotel and the villa boast excellent swimming pools.
Participants can choose from single or shared accommodation.
The course package includes four (04) full days tuition, five (05) nights full board accommodation including breakfast, morning coffee, lunch (soup/salad, sandwich, fruit), and dinner (three course meal with bread) and all extra-curricular meals – poolside BBQs, etc. The hotel’s Cordon Bleu Chef, Ivan, will personally ensure that all students have a superb gastronomic stay as well as learn some new linguistic skills! 675 Euros per person double occupancy
750 Euros per person single occupancy
The price includes:
5 nights, full board basis (breakfast, coffee break, lunch, dinner);
airport transfer (Malaga - Juzcar);

Transfers to/from Ronda.
The price does NOT include:
flights;
travel insurance;
alcoholic/other beverages/refreshments;

Flamenco performance.
Individual Master classes in language and song (duration 45 minutes) can be booked for an extra 36€ (30£). These may be particularly suitable for those who might wish to perform or compete in Celtic festivals or competitions such as the Royal National Mod. A unique aspect of this course will be the participation by local village inhabitants in many of the events. The final evening's ceilidh is open to all local people and this year will also be open to visitors in the area for Easter and all participants are encouraged to bring along all musical instruments, dance shoes, stories and jokes! This is an ideal opportunity to get to know more about the local area and its own native history.
