Primary roads in order are N-340, E-15, A-357, A-367, A-397, MA-7306, MA-7303.
Exit airport, direction Málaga, onto the N-340. (fly over and circle around to N340). Follow signs for direction Granada entering onto the E-15 which will be a right exit (fly over and circle around onto the motorway....if you enter into Málaga city, you've missed the turn).
Once on the E-15, take first right exit following signs for Cartama onto the A-357. Once into the exit ramp, stay left and then right exit onto the A-357.
Follow A-357 to road marker kilometre 15... you will have passed the town of Ardales. Shortly thereafter you will see a road sign for Ronda, exiting right onto the A-367. The initial stretch of this road is new and is now (as of March 2009) continuous leading directly to Ronda where it terminates at a round-about.
From there, follow the road signs for the San Pedro de Alcántara road, A-397 (formerly A-376); it is 11KM (marked) to the exit for Juzcar and the Genal Valley which is sign posted. The sign indicates the exit for the MA-7306 giving access to the Alto Genal, including Parauta, Júzcar, Farajan and Cartajima; this is a right-hand turn, a 500M before a large petrol station.
Make the right turn, bear left for the Alto Genal. At the next junction passed a hairpin turn, continue on MA-7306 passing Cartajima onto MA-7303 for Júzcar which is about 14KM in total down this mountain from the main road. Enjoy the views.

DIRECTIONS FROM MÁLAGA AIRPORT via THE COAST AND A-397
Exit the airport following signs for Cádiz/Algeciras.
Enter onto the E-15/A-7, a toll road. Follow this road until you see exit signs for Ronda and Sevilla (via Ronda) following route A-397 (formerly called A-376) (Note: this exit is just before a toll plaza and there is an exit toll of 1.45 Euros {higher toll during bank holidays}).
Ascend the A-397 up into the Serrania de Ronda and enjoy the breath taking views of the Costa del Sol, Gibraltar and the Atlas Mountains beyond in Africa (seen on a clear day). There are a couple of miradors along this road if you wish to stop and really enjoy the views.
After road marker KM12, there are road signs for Route MA-7306, Parauta, Cartajima and Júzcar, this is a left hand turn from a designated left turning lane.
IMPORTANT NOTE: be sure to take the left hand turn for Júzcar as there is another left turn just before the petrol station but this does not take you to Júzcar. Make the left turn after the petrol station and then bear left for the Alto Genal following MA-7306, passing Cartajima onto MA-7303 for Juzcar. Enjoy the views.
